It was a truly regal affair as the Curve Fashion Week kicked off with a night of glitz and glamour, with six of Malaysia’s popular beauty queens taking center stage at the curve Fashion Week Gala Night to showcase the hottest trends of the season.
With a huge sparkling tiara as a stunning backdrop, this year’s theme, “A Queenly Affair”, centered on fashion trends fit for a queen. Fashion brands both local and international featured the latest styles, from dazzling evening outfits to eye-catching ready-to-wear must haves, as well as fashion accessories and shoes.
Guests at the Gala Night were dazzled by the gorgeous bevy of beauty queens who walked the runway, consisting Yvonne Lee, Ms World Malaysia 2012, Chloe Chen, Ms World Malaysia 2011, Gabriella Robinson, Ms Tourism International 2011, Nadia Heng, Ms World Malaysia 2010, Thanuja Ananthan, Ms World Malaysia 2009 and Elaine Daly, Ms Universe Malaysia 2003.
Hosted by none other than a beauty queen herself, Deborah Henry, Ms World Malaysia 2007 and Ms Universe Malaysia 2011, the beauty queens graced the catwalk decked out in stylish collections by the top notch brands available at the Curve. The event presented collections by Binwani’s and Uluwatu, the latter of which featured their latest collection of feminine outfits made from delicate handmade Balinese lace.
Elements and G2000 Men showcased chic formal business attire for women and men respectively. Guests also checked out ready to wear premium collection of traditional Malay apparel by Cosry and specially tailored attire by Fit & Match and T-Joue. Debenhams, Focus Point, G&H, Metrojaya, Obermain and Rockport also highlighted their collections, while the queens and models hairstyles and flawless make-up were sponsored by Snips.

Guests were also treated to a variety of entertainment, including an amazing aerialist performance, which captivated the audience with gravity-defying acrobatic moves. The audience also enjoyed a soulful performance by local singer-songwriter Nick Davis, who set the mood with his signature smooth sound.
